Hummers

I had heard that the hummers would be arriving in our area on March 15th and I made sure my feeder was filled with sugar water a week before the scheduled arrival. I was amazed when on March 16th one little Black-chinned Hummingbird made his appearance! Soon to our delight there was a little flock to entertain us with their acrobatic flying tactics that Jeep calls "dog fights". My special delight was seeing a Ruby-throated Hummer that appeared for a day or so before moving on. ~ Dana
